About Diane

Diane has been in the mental health field for over 20 years, practicing in a variety of settings. To prepare Diane for her work, she received a Master's Degree in counseling psychology from New York University and later a Master's Degree in social work from Boston University. Her current interests have evolved after years of working with adolescent females and adult women, followed by years of working with troubled familes where she became increasingly aware of the prevalence of and impact from sexual, physical and emotional trauma.

Depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relational issues and living with and managing trauma are areas of Diane's expertise. She now works with adults and assists them to recognize ways in which their pasts impact their present, to improve their capacity for self-understanding and self compassion, to create and promote healthier relationships within themselves and with others as well as heal from and perhaps repair those relationships which are ruptured.

Diane is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the New England Society for the Treatment of Trauma and Dissociation.
