About Cheryl
Cheryl Consedine is a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice since 2016.
She received her Masters of Education in Counseling from Boston University and a CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) at Salem State University. Cheryl has also held licenses in school adjustment counseling and guidance counseling (5-12th gr.)
During the past 15 years, Cheryl has worked extensively with adolescents 16+, young adults ,adults, and families in various settings including home, school, clinic, college counseling centers and currently private practice.
Cheryl provides individual, parenting and family therapy in the Beverly office. Cheryl also provides family, school and college counseling consultant services.
Her specialties include treating young people 16+, young adults, adults and parenting with the following clinical issues: Mood-based difficulties( anxiety, depression) trauma, loss/grief, relationship and women's issues, life transitions, and stress management.
She uses a variety of clinical approaches with a focus on the clients strengths and partnering with them in the treatment planning process.
She has extensive training in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma based approaches including EMDR Level 1 & 2 certification.
